IL Breaks 2009!

What is up, bboys and bgirls.

Just wanted everyone to know that…

THE BIGGEST ANNUAL BBOY EVENT IN ILLINOIS WILL BE HAPPENING IN APRIL 4-5, 2009!!!

ILL BREAKS WILL BE COMING TO UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS, URBANA-CHAMPAIGN!!

Internationally known bboys like Bboy Blonde (Leader of Extreme Crew from Korea – winner of BOTY 2007 – one of the world’s sickest powermovers) and Bboy Kid David (a sick style head from Renegades Crew in California – participant of Red Bull BC One 2006 and 2007).

They will be 2 of the 3 bboys judging the event/battles.

Not to mention…

THEY WILL BE HAVING FREE WORKSHOPS ALONG WITH BBOY CHECK-IT FROM CHICAGO TRIBES CREW!
There is also a chance that Bboy The End (my favorite powermover of all times) from the Korean Gamblerz Crew will be there (even though he injured his knee)!

This is a rare opportunity that you won’t wanna miss!  So far, only Chris Nho and I are for sure going.  SO TELL US IF YOU WANT TO COME!

  1. Once again. I just wanna emphasize the fact that this is an incredibly rare opportunity. Some of the best bboys from all over the world (i.e. – the West Coast and EVEN Korea) are coming to Illinois. And it only happens once a year (not even). It’s like the monster’s of Hip-hop for breaking.

  4. We can take the Illini Shuttle. I can figure that out really easily. Ya, and the video is pretty ill. I actually am pretty tight with the breaking crew down there at U of I, so we can practice with them and get some good pointers from them. Another reason you guys should come!

    Also, SKILL LEVEL IS NOT IMPORTANT! EVERYONE IS WELCOME!!11one

  7. Renting a car? How much would it be to rent a car? I’m pretty sure that getting tickets for the Illini Shuttle would be cheaper. It’s like $26 per ticket.

  9. the illini shuttle is 30 bucks each way, and then you have to take the bus to get around champaign. whereas renting a car is $100 plus gas, total. you do the math.

  10. Good point. My bad. I’ve never rented a car before cuz I don’t have a driver’s license.

    Anyway, the event isn’t like tomorrow or anything and we already have like 5 different possible ways to get there. So fro-man, you def don’t need to worry about getting there. If worse comes to worse, I’ll be willing to spot you or anyone willing to come. It’d be pretty unfortunate that you get to miss out on such a golden opportunity for something so trivial. Plus there are a bunch of places that we could crash at, so don’t worry about that.
